Section titled “Editing a page”- Click the page you want to edit.
- Change the text, images and other fields.
- Click Save.
Creating a new page
Section titled “Creating a new page”- Go to where the page should go, for example the dashboard or a listing such as News.
- Click + Add.
- Enter the title. The CMS automatically turns it into the page address (URL). Check that the address is short and clear, see Page addresses.
- Choose the page type, if you’re given a choice.
- Click Create. The page is now a draft: only you can see it, in the CMS.
- Complete the page and publish it when it’s ready.
Visible or hidden
Section titled “Visible or hidden”Next to each page is a coloured dot: the page’s status. Click it to change the status.
| Dot | Status | What does the visitor see? |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | Public | The page is online and appears in the menu or in listings. |
| 🔵 Blue | Unlisted | The page is online, but doesn’t appear in the menu or in listings. It can still be reached through a direct link. |
| 🔴 Red | Draft | The page is offline. Visitors and Google can’t see it. |
Changing the order
Section titled “Changing the order”In a list of pages, drag a page to a different position. On many websites, that order is also the order in the menu or in listings. On some websites (news, for example) the order is fixed, by date.
More actions
Section titled “More actions”Through the three-dot menu (⋯) next to a page, or at the top of an open page, you can among other things:
- change the title;
- change the page address; read Page addresses first;
- duplicate: make a copy, handy for creating a similar page;
- preview: open the page as a visitor sees it;
- delete.
Multilingual website
Section titled “Multilingual website”- You create a new page in the default language. Then you translate the title and content into each language. See How to translate a page.
- The status applies to all languages at once. If you publish a page, it’s online in every language, even if it hasn’t been translated yet. So only publish once every language is ready.
- The title and page address are changed per language. Choose the language first.
- Duplicating, moving and deleting apply to all languages together.
