Working safely

  • Use a password you don’t use anywhere else. If another website leaks your password, your website stays safe.
  • Choose a long password, for example four random words: tap-cloud-bike-tomato. Long is stronger than complicated.
  • Use a password manager, for example your browser’s, Bitwarden or 1Password. It remembers your passwords for you.
  • Forgotten it? Use Forgot your password? on the login page. See Logging in and password.
  • Everyone has their own account. Don’t share your login with colleagues. If they need access too, ask us for an account for them.
  • Someone leaving the company? Let us know and we’ll close their account.
  • Log out when you’re done on a shared computer.

Scammers sometimes send emails that seem to come from your web agency, hosting company or domain registrar.

Also be careful with emails about:

  • a domain name that is “expiring” and that you urgently have to pay for through a link;
  • a website that has supposedly been “hacked” or “blocked”;
  • an “SEO report” with an urgent offer.

Not sure? Forward the email to us before you do anything.

Only upload files that belong on the website. Never put confidential documents (contracts, personal data, invoices) in the CMS: files you upload there can often be reached publicly.
