Title and description
The SEO title and description are what Google shows in its search results. They’re often the first thing someone sees of your business, so they should make people want to click.

Where to fill it in
Section titled “Where to fill it in”- General SEO: on the CMS dashboard, SEO tab. Set the website’s general title, description and default share image here. They apply to every page where you don’t fill in anything specific.
- SEO per page: on each page, Metadata & SEO tab. What you fill in here takes priority over the general settings.
A good title
Section titled “A good title”- About 50 to 60 characters. Anything longer gets cut off with “…”.
- The most important part first: what is the page about? Your business name can go at the end.
- A unique title for every page. Ten pages called “Home” don’t help anyone.
- Use your customers’ words. Do people search for “bathroom renovation” or “sanitary installations”?

A good description
Section titled “A good description”- About 120 to 155 characters. That’s two short sentences.
- Summarise what the visitor will find on the page, and why it’s interesting for them.
- End with an invitation: “Request a quote”, “See our opening hours”, “Discover the range”.
- A unique description for every page. Don’t copy the same text everywhere.
The share image
Section titled “The share image”The SEO image (share image) appears when someone shares a page on Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp…
- Keep it within 1500 × 1500 pixels. A landscape image of 1200 × 630 pixels works best on most platforms.
- Choose an image that’s recognisable even when small, ideally without small text.
- Set a default image in the general SEO, for example your logo on a plain background or a strong atmospheric photo. Then every page has one.
Multilingual website
Section titled “Multilingual website”Is your website in more than one language? Then fill in the title and description in every language, both in the general SEO and per page. Choose the language at the top to do so.
- Rewrite them instead of translating them literally. Use the words people search with in that language: “rénovation salle de bains” in French, not a translation of your Dutch slogan.
- Watch the length. French text is often longer than Dutch or English. Here too, aim for about 60 characters for the title and 155 for the description.
- Forget a language, and Google shows the default language’s text there, or picks its own snippet from the page.
